Julia Starr Keddle has a degree in English Literature (University of Sussex), a PGCE in English and ESL, and an RSA Diploma in TEFLA. She taught in Italy (University of Florence) and the UK for over ten years, including business English. She also worked for ten years in ELT publishing.
She is a teacher trainer and has written resource books, tests, coursebooks, and video activity books, including Right Now, Spotlight (Oxford University Press), Market Leader (Pearson), and Inside Out (Macmillan). She is a contributor to Insights from the Common European Framework (Oxford University Press), and has co-written Step Ahead Portfolio (ELI).
She also writes regularly with Martyn Hobbs – they have written a two level course for 14–16 year olds Get Real (Helbling Languages), three levels of a course for the Arab world Action Pack (York Press), and Customs & Lifestyle in the UK & Ireland (Mary Glasgow).
